The Calverton Practice Newsletter – March 2025

Posted on:

As we finally start to see signs of spring after a long, grey winter, we want to take a moment to reflect on the busy few months we’ve had here at Calverton GP Practice. The colder weather brought with it the usual influx of winter illnesses, which made for a challenging time across the entire health system. We understand the frustrations this may have caused, especially when it comes to appointment availability. We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to all our patients for their patience and understanding during these times. Your support truly makes all the difference.

As you read this, we will have recently undergone our CQC inspection—an experience that’s always nerve-wracking, no matter how well prepared we are. We are hopeful that the inspectors will see the best of what we have to offer, from the services we provide to the way our team comes together to give you the care you deserve.

Speaking of our team, one of the greatest strengths of our practice is the incredible team spirit we share. Every single member of the team strives to do their best each day and provide the highest standard of care to all our patients. This dedication is made easier by the wonderful people we serve. We are truly grateful for the kind comments, feedback, and helpful suggestions you provide to help us continually improve.

We can’t think of our team without mentioning two extremely well loved team members who are leaving us this month – secretary Julie Chambers is moving back to her home town of Liverpool and nurse Chris Cureton is retiring for a well earned rest after many years of dedication to the practice and the NHS.  We will miss you both enormously, thank you for years of hard work, all the fun and laughs and wish you all the best in the future.

As we move into a new season, we remain committed to offering you the best possible care and service. Thank you for your continued support and trust in us.

Wishing you all a healthier and brighter spring ahead!
